World Book Day - Helping our wider world

WORLD BOOK DAY MONDAY 9TH MARCH 2020

Dear Parents/Carers,

On Thursday 5th March 2020, it is World Book Day. As we do every year, we would like to celebrate the love of reading we have here at Amberley.

To celebrate, the children and staff are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite book character or, in their pyjamas.

We are holding this day on Monday 9th March 2020 instead as we are being mindful of children dressing up on the same day as PE, as well as Belted Galloway having a class trip on the Thursday.

Children are very welcome to bring in their favourite story. These stories will be shared within classes.

Children will be taking part in reading activities throughout the day – please keep a look out on the school blog for photos of children completing these.

Please could we ask that the children bring in £1 in on this day, which we will be donating to Waunifor Primary School in Kenya, which we have recently made links with, so that we can support them in raising fund to stock their library.
