Welcome back Friesians!

We hope you have had an enjoyable Christmas break with your loved ones and that you are looking forward to the new term ahead! We have been so proud of how hard the children have worked in the Autumn term, so we are keen to welcome them back for another term full of enjoyment and learning.

Even though we are only back at school for three days in the first week, we have an exciting, jam-packed few days! On Wednesday, we will be setting back into our routine and picking up where we left off in most subjects. In English, we will be working on different grammatical features ready to continue writing our story of The Magic Finger by Roald Dahl. In maths, we will be recapping and deepening our knowledge of using column multiplication. In Immersion Curriculum, we are scientists and we will be starting our topic with learning about animals and the nutrition that they need. We will also be preparing ourselves for our school trip on Thursday, where we will be learning about different animal adaptations and food chains. For our school trip, the children will need to bring their own packed lunch, a water bottle and a coat.

In RE, we will be starting our new unit by looking at our Christian Value of the term: Trust. We will be retelling the story of The Storm on the Lake and thinking about how we need to not only trust others, but trust God.

I have attached the Spring Term letter on the Friesian Class page. I would be grateful if you could give this a read to keep up to date with any changes that have been made with the runnings of our class.

As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me.
