This week in Hereford Class
This week in Hereford Class, we begin a brand new English journey of story. We will be learning the story of Traction Man by Mini Grey. We will be retelling the story, boxing it up, comprehending and then writing it in our own words.
In Maths we are revising the four operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. We will be applying this to problem solving. Year 2 will learn the formal written method for addition and subtraction, which is really exciting.
We continue with our Science Topic in our Immersion Curriculum: Light and Sound. We are learning how we see and hear and linking this back to our previous Science topic and the 5 senses. We will be completing several experiments to see how sound waves travel and then finally, designing a collar for Suki and jacket for Mrs Russell, thinking about being seen and heard, especially in the dark.
In RE we will be making links between Jewish ideas of God found in the some stories and how people live.
The deadline for class photos is Wednesday 29th June. Proofs were given to the children on Friday. If you have not had a copy, please let me know.
