This Week in Hereford Class
This week in Hereford Class we continue with our AIC journey of 'Wonder Women'. We will be continuing to explore Florence Nightingale and then we will learn about Emily Davison. We will think about how these two women, and Rosa Parks studied last week, have had an impact on the lives of others.
In RE, we will be looking at how religious and non-religious people should care for the others. We will be looking at the Jewish festival of Sukkot and how Jewish people care for others and we will look at Mother Theresa and understand what impact she had. We will think about the 'GOLDEN RULE' of 'Treat others how you would like to be treated', looking at different scenarios.
In English, we start to write our autobiographies. Y1 children will be turning into Mrs Hamilton and Y2, into Mrs Apew. We will write introductions this week as well as form some of the paragraphs of information in chronological order.
In Maths, we will finish our unit on fractions. Y1 finding 1/2 and 1/4 of numbers, shapes and sets of objects whilst Y2 do this also, but include 1/3 and 3/4 as well.
