This Week in Friesian Class
This week, we will be starting a new writing journey, in English, based on persuasive writing. We will be looking at advertisements and their key features. This work will link nicely with the Money and Work week we will be celebrating next week, as part of our Immersion Curriculum work, where will will be looking at how we spend our money, and the influence advertising has on us.
In our Immersion Curriculum work this week, we will musicians, and will be finding out about reggae music and learning to play the glockenspiels. Miss Cale, who is the school music lead, will be taking these sessions.
In maths, Year 4 will be learning to divide using formal written methods and Year 3 will be working with weight and volume.
In RE, we will be continuing our work on Hinduism in order to find out more about everyday life for Hindu people in the UK today.
In computing, we will be using Canva to develop our desk top publishing skills and will be celebrating this week's Internet Safety Day by looking at a variety of scenarios and discussing how we might act in different situations, in order to keep ourselves safe online.
If you haven't yet returned your trip letter, I would be very grateful if you could please do so promptly, so that we are able to fully prepare for the trip to Greystone's farm Iron Age site next week.
