This week in Friesian Class...

This week in Friesian Class we will be writing our own versions of Into The Forest by Anthony Browne in English. Last week, we planned our reinvented versions and this week we will be showing off everything we have learnt and writing an engaging story. In maths, we will be continuing our topic of time by showing that we can convert between analogue time and digital time. In RE, we will be starting to investigate how the world is not always a good place. We will be making links between religious beliefs and teachings and why people try to live and make the world a better place.

In Immersion Curriculum, we are artists and we are studying one of the greats - Pablo Picasso! We will be spending some time looking at his work and commenting on it using visual language. We will also be looking at his different types of art work and how he experiments. We will also be having a go at replicating his art work! The topic map for this unit of work can be found on our Friesian Class page.

On Wednesday, I will be taking the Y4s to watch 'In The Net' - a production about internet safety. At the moment, we have not had enough support come back to help with taking children to the venue. If you are able to spare some time in the morning to be able to take a car of children, please let me know. We would really appreciate it!

As always, please ensure to read with your child each night. It is so pleasing reading the children's writing and seeing where they have used ideas and language from stories they have read.

Please also take a look at the 'Reading At Amberley' page to see some of the children's book reviews. I will be uploading a different book review created by one of the children in Friesian Class each week. Other classes will be doing the same!

If you have any questions, please email me.
