This week in Friesian Class...

This week in Friesian Class we are continuing our recount writing journey by comprehending, introducing and writing the paragraphs for a recount. We will be working on including our PVG to create strong sentences. In maths, we are back to teaching both Y3 and Y4 for this week and it has been lovely to have a full class again. We are working with money this week and we will be completing lots of tasks involving converting money and calculating change. In RE, we will be continuing to answer the overarching question: What kind of world did Jesus want? We will be linking last week's learning about 'fishers of people' to the real world by thinking about how Christian churches 'fish for people'.

In Immersion Curriculum, we are artists and we are using our Computing skills to learn to create colour splash photography images by editing using Paint.net. The children concentrated really hard to grasp this difficult skill and his will lead to them taking their own images and editing them.

Spelling homework was sent home today with a revision spelling rule, along with Jumping Orange Words at the bottom for each year group. I will be testing the children on these words on Friday and the homework will be due in next Monday. If the homework is completed before then, it can be put in the homework box.

As always, please ensure that you are reading daily with your child and noting how they read in their reading record in order to keep an open communication with myself and Mrs Stevens.
