This week in Friesian Class

This week in Friesian class, we are continuing our new English unit and writing a non-chronological reports.

In maths, we are finishing our subtraction unit and working on our reasoning and problem solving skills.

In RE, we are starting our new topic of Christianity and answering the key question: ‘What is The Trinity and why is it important to Christians?’

In Immersion Curriculum, we are historians this week and we will be studying WWI. A mysterious parcel arrived in Friesian Class this week and it was full of old letters, postcards, diary entries and photographs. We have spent some time researching using different resources to find out some key facts about WWI including: ‘When did WWI start?’, ‘When did WWI end?’ and ‘Why did WWI start?’. We completed a class timeline to show the events of WWI and also learnt about the allies in the different countries involved. We look forward to investigating the sources we have received more to answer the question: ‘What was life like for a WWI soldier’ and ‘How do we remember WWI?’. We hope to find out who sent this parcel, who has written the letters and who is in the photographs.
