This week in Friesian Class

Welcome back Friesians! We hope you have enjoyed a restful half term break. In English, we will be starting a new writing unit and looking at non-chronological reports. We will be finding the features and boxing up this week. In maths, we are moving onto a new unit of subtraction. Y3s will be using concrete resources to tackle subtraction problems using the formal written method and the Y4s will be consolidating their knowledge of the subtraction column method and developing this to subtract bigger numbers. In RE, we will be starting our new topic of Christianity and answering the question: ‘What is the trinity and why is it important to Christians?’ In Immersion Curriculum, we are completing a Music and Movement topic linked to Diwali. Just a reminder for this term that reading books and reading records need to be in everyday and any books that have been read will be changed on a Monday and a Friday.
