This week in Friesian Class
This week in Friesian class, we have started our 'big write' in English, for a newspaper report centred around the artefacts which we saw last week when Gail Stoten visited us. The children are using their imaginations to write a report which details how some of the artefacts have been found.
In maths, we are looking at symmetry in 2d shapes and creating symmetrical patterns, as well as continuing our work on formal methods of subtraction, and will be looking at Roman numerals.
In our immersion curriculum work this week, we will be looking at what is meant by 'significance' in a historical context and will be looking at significant events, inventions and developments during the Roman rule of Britain.
In RE, we will be completing our work on the Creation story and 'The Fall', and will be reflecting on this term's Christian value of Perseverance.
In computing, we are hoping to complete our animations, so that they include sound, action and text. We look forward to sharing them with you. If you would like to experiment with the software we have been using, Scratch 2, then there is a link on our class page.
We will be creating our Christmas cards designs ready for you to look at and order, should you so wish. They will be coming home at the end of the week.
We hope that you enjoy the half term break and look forward to seeing you all at parents' evening.
