This Week in Friesian Class
This week, we will be continuing our work as historians and will be looking at the impact of the Roman Empire on Britain, and thinking about continuity and change in terms of society and housing. We will be finding out more about Hadrian's wall and the number of countries that different soldiers came from, the evidence of their time in Britain, and how this would have impacted on British society.
We will be developing our understanding of addition in maths, with Year 3 focusing on adding 1s across ten, and adding 10s across 100s. Year 4 will be developing their formal addition calculation methods, working with 4 digit numbers and exchanging between columns.
In English, we will be drafting and editing our own newspaper reports based on a fictitious archaeological dig, using the features we have been practising.
Please note that there will be no spelling homework this week. The children have been asked to practise their timetables and number bonds.
