This week in Dexter Class
This week in Dexter class we will be preparing for Friday's sports' day by practising a variety of sporting activities. Sadly the Infant Cluster Sports day, that was planned for Tuesday, has been cancelled due to the weather forecast, but thank you for those of you who had volunteered to come with us. We will be continuing our work on polysyllabic words in Mrs Crampton and Mrs Smith's phonics group, blending and segmenting cvcc and ccvc words in Mrs Smith and Mrs Lury's group and looking at alternative graphemes in Mrs Stephen's group.
In maths, we will be looking at adding and subtracting using a number line and will be using these skills to solve problems.
We would like to give a HUGE thank you to Gail for coming in on Friday to lead 'Dexters' Dig', where the children got to take part in a variety of activities to help them further understand how we find out what life was like in the past. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we are very grateful to you for giving up your time and for all your hard work!
