This week in Dexter Class

Here we are at the start of a fun filled week where the whole school will be participating in Sky Arts Week and also Sports Day on Friday.

Each day will begin with Early morning independent writing activities followed by Phonics and then Maths. We will then join with Hereford Class for the rest of the day on Monday-Thursday. Sky Arts Week celebrates all the arts and as well as workshops and activities the children will be learning about a myriad of careers that are available. We will be looking at MOVES-drama, MARKS-2D art work, SOUNDS-singing and WORDS-Poetry. At the end of each day we will get together as a whole school in the hall to share what we have been doing. I'm excited to see the huge amount of creativity that the children of Amberley have put into action.

Dexter children will need to come in PE kit as usual on Friday. The whole day will be devoted to PE and then Sports Day in the afternoon followed by the Friends of Amberley Summer Sizzler to which you are all warmly invited. Let's hope that Summer is FINALLY going to stay!
