This week in Dexter Class
This week in Dexter Class we are learning about traditional tales and following the interests of the children, we are looking at the story of The Gingerbread Man in Literacy, Language and Communication. On Friday we will celebrate our work by baking our own! In Phonics we are consolidating learning of digraphs or, er, ur and learning ow. We will be reading and writing these sounds so please support the children by reading daily so that they build their fluency.
In Maths, we are looking at number composition beyond 5 and how we can represent this in pictorial and written ways. We will also be completing our rapid recall club maths challenge where we practise our number bonds.
In RE we will be looking at stories that are special to us and children are welcome to bring in a book of special significance to them on Wednesday. PE will be with me on Friday and we will have an hour of multi skills which the children will enjoy I'm sure! Please ensure that children have their full PE kit and a coat in case we are outside.
You should have received the Spring letter from myself and this can also be found on the Dexter Class page. As always, if you need to talk about anything, please catch me at the gate in the morning or at the end of the day, you can email me or come into school to make an appointment.
