This Week in Belted Galloway Class

This week is the end of Key Stage 2 tests week for the Year 6 pupils, formerly and commonly, but incorrectly, known as SATs week. It's the chance for the children to show what they have learnt and what they can do. Our aim is to make it as stress-free and enjoyable as possible, focussing on the children feeling proud of what they have learnt, and looking after the children throughout the week by doing light activities and eating biscuits!

Year 5 will be working with Dexter class while the Year 6 pupils carry out their tests: their activities will focus on art and craft skills, but also, and more importantly, focus on their inter-personal skills in working with the younger children. Away from these times, we will be doing a lot of spatial and practical maths with the whole class, including using compasses and acetates to explore shape and space.
