This Week in Belted Galloway Class

Year 5s are currently working with Miss Cale on their English project based on The Highway Man: they are using art work and drama to help their inference and to add depth to their understanding, and their writing, notably their diary entries this week, will capitalise on these skills. Year 6 are using the picture book The Viewer, writing narratives and diary entries that aim to be as dark as the book itself! In maths this week, we are completing our work on area and perimeter, and the Year 6 children will be extending their learning to explore volume. In our immersion curriculum this week, we will be focussing on Geography skills, where we will be learning about natural disasters, starting the week with earthquakes and volcanoes.
