This Week in Belted Galloway Class

This week in Belted Galloway class the children will be completing their assessments for the Autumn term. It is a real chance for them to show what they can do and there has been an attitude of positivity and determination in class all week. The assessments will be used to plan what exactly the children need to do next, and it is lovely to see how invested they are in this process. Tests aren't as scary if the children understand why they are happening and what will happen next: we aim to make sure the children understand they are low-stakes but have high value. In the Immersion Curriculum this week, we will be starting our work on the Mayan civilisation, while in Guided Reading we will be completing The Last Wild, which the children have thoroughly enjoyed.
