This week in Belted Galloway class

This week we will be continuing our Geography block of work on mind-blowing maps, with a focus on using grid references to locate places. We will be using OS maps later in the week to tie all the children's learning together, linking symbols, keys, directions, scale and grid references, and even looking at contour lines. In English we will be starting a new block of work on narrative work, focussing on tragedy. We will be doing some work with Macbeth to launch this topic, and the children will be basing their narrative on this play. We will also be using drama skills to bring the story to life. In maths, we will be learning about dividing fractions by whole numbers and converting fractions, while in RE we will be further exploring Christian places of worship to look for links to how they see God as both a loving and a holy god.
