This Week in Belted Galloway class

This week we will be completing a week of art in our immersion curriculum, focussed on painting. We will be looking at the use of colour to create mood, and exploring painting trees over a range of different backgrounds. In Maths, the children will be exploring the order of calculations - now known as BIDMAS - and also consolidating using decimals in ordering and with calculation. In English, the children will be applying the work they have completed this year by writing a number of different genres of work linked to a central theme, in this case the book we are reading. This book is called The Nowhere Emporium and it has really inspired the children in the early days. Our RE work will be continuing exploring the idea of Jesus being the Messiah: we will be exploring the Gospel texts and comparing these to the Prophesies to consider the kind of king the Jews expected.
