This Week in Belted Galloway class

This week we will be completing our work on multiplication methods in maths and will be moving on to developing division skills. Children traditionally find division the most demanding of the number operations, so we will give the children lots of opportunities to flag up their difficulties and get involved in clinics where they can request extra teaching on particular sticking points. In English we will be completing our block of work on persuasive writing with the children using all their previously learnt skills to create their own persuasive speeches and persuasive adverts, altering their style for the different contexts of the writing. This week, our immersion curriculum subject will be art, and we will taking part in a textiles project when the children will be developing their sewing skills to create a section of patchwork about animals. It looks to be both exciting and slightly terrifying at the same time!
