This week in Belted Galloway class

Hello! This week we will be finishing our work on story writing inspired by the animation Ruin. The children will be completing their Ruin stories, looking at developing effective resolutions and endings, and will then be planning and writing their own futuristic adventure stories, which I look forward to reading later in the week. In maths, we will be developing and extending the children's addition skills. This could include using decimals, solving missing number problems, practising their basic skills or solving algebraic addition puzzles. The children will work through stages as the week progresses, moving up when they are ready. We will be continuing our work on Forces this week, with specific emphasis on air resistance and friction, and the children will be carrying out experiments and observations, drawing conclusions and relating these to the world around them.
