This Week in Belted Galloway Class

This week in Belted Galloway class, we continue with our work on Invaders, Fractions and Flashback narratives! We are focusing on equivalence in maths, moving onto using this to order fractions with different denominators. Our history topic of the invaders centres on the Anglo Saxon and Viking invasions, and looks at King Alfred in particular. Using The Piano animation as our stimulus in English, the children will complete their versions of this flashback narrative, ready to create their own version of this text type next week. It has been wonderful to see the children writing with such sensitivity and emotion: I look forward to inviting you in to look at your children's work when they complete this. It was wonderful to welcome Mr Oakey back for Outdoor Learning on Friday last week: we look forward to continuing our outdoor learning, using DT skills, this week. Children are more than welcome to come to school in their outdoor learning clothes if they wish, as there will be a considerable number of clothes changes otherwise!
