On Monday this week, Year 6 pupils attended the Mock Trial competition in the plush council offices in Stroud, competing against Thrupp school and acting at prosecutors in a trial. The pupils did so well and clearly learnt a lot from the experience. On Monday afternoon, 5 of our Year 6s had the opportunity to do some 'work experience' at the shop at the church, which was really interesting and eye-opening for them. By the end of the year, all Year 6 pupils will have taken part in this experience, and we will be rolling it out for Year 5. We will be starting a block of Geography work this week called Mind-Blowing Maps, where we will be learning key mapping skills as well as exploring a range of maps types. We will be looking at OS maps in detail.
