This Week in Belted Galloway Class

Hello! Week 2 of 2024 brings our History block of world on 'Invaders'. While this will centre around the Anglo-Saxons, we will be spending time exploring the chronology of 'The Story of Britain' first, looking at the development of religion, technology and social and cultural features from the Stone Age onwards. Once we have fully explored the build up to this period of time, we will begin looking at the main monarchs of the Anglo-Saxon time, considering what their stories can tell us about the era.

In English we are starting a block of work on discussion texts. We will be looking at a discussion on vivisection to begin the work, and we will be spending time exploring this highly emotive issue as well as exploring how a disussion text is put together.
