This Week in Belted Galloway

This week we will be completing our work on the Ancient Greeks, culminating in a visit from some of the school governors to talk to the children about their learning and a session where we will be researching Greek Gods and creating our own Top Trumps cards. We will also be unveiling the results of our art block a few weeks ago (it took a while for some children to finish, and with art work, we felt it was unfair to hurry them!) as our raindrop cascade. Please feel free to pop in after school one day if you want to admire it and find your child's work. We will also be considering the legacy the Ancient Greeks left behind and looking at Ancient Greek soldiers and food choices!

In English, we will be moving on to develop action in our stories, and we will be starting Spelling Gems, with the first test on Friday.
