World Book Day in Hereford Class

What an exciting day we have had! We started off this morning with a character hunt. We were given clues about characters from fairy tales and traditional tales along with an anagram. We had to work out who the character was and then locate them around the school.

After this, we were given stories; however, within these stories words had been changed to really strange ones - when we had finished laughing, we had to think about what word was meant to be in the story and replace it.

We had a lovely Guided Reading session in the library where Miss Holden, Mrs Norris and Miss Griffiths read us stories; we designed our own bunting and made bookmarks.

In the afternoon we had a quiz where we had to answer questions about books, characters and story plots.

Naunidh said that her favourite part of the day was this morning's hunt because she enjoyed working with Eve,

Millan said that her favourite thing was also the hunt because you got to see lots of different pictures.

Emma said that her favourite part of the day was the quiz because some of the answers were funny. I liked marking the other team's answers - they made me laugh!
