This Week in Friesian Class

Welcome back after the half term! We hope you had a lovely, restful break. The children came in with lovely smiles this morning and were very enthusiastic to tell us all about their half terms.

In English, we have started a new unit on discussion writing. We have identified the features of discussion texts and will be writing our own discussion text based on the question 'Should children be allowed to eat chocolate for breakfast?' I'm sure the children will have lots of interesting opinions on this matter.

In maths, we are continuing with fractions and decimals, particularly focusing on tenths and hundredths.

In RE, we will look at our new value for the term, 'Compassion'.

In art, we have started the preparations for our art day later in the term. We have begun making printing blocks, using Orla Kiely and the natural world as our inspiration. A letter will be sent out this week regarding resources that would be very helpful for our art day. Swimming will continue as normal but Outdoor Learning will not commence until next week.

Thanks for your continued support.
