This week in Dexter Class

This week in Dexter class, we are looking back over the sounds and high frequency words that we have learned so far and assessing the children's progress, so that we can help to improve their confidence with any sounds that they are less familiar with.

In maths, we will be completing our club maths challenges using addition and will be learning how to use what we have found out to make more accurate estimates with number. We will also be doing some problem solving.

We have had great fun learning about Kenya, as part of our work on 'Handa's surprise' and will be talking further about the similarities and differences between our two countries.

We are looking forward to seeing you on Friday morning, when you are invited to join the children in class during the first part of the morning. They are excited to share their learning with you and have already been busy creating books for you to read in their impromptu library, thanks to an idea from one of our focus children. You are welcome to join us from 8.45am until 9.30am, when we will hold Golden Book assembly.
