This week in Belted Galloway

Hopefully this week will be a less weather-interrupted one! We hope to complete our current novel, The Last Wild, which promises to be an interesting and emotional ending: the children have really invested in these characters, and their reading comprehension has been really impressive. We will be starting our new block of writing in English, which will be story-writing in the science fiction genre, while we will continue our fractions work in maths.

We will be celebrating Safer Internet Day on Tuesday by empowering our young people to take control of their digital lives and consider how consent works in an online context. The work we will carry out explores how young people ask for, give and receive consent online. This could be in their friendships, how they take and share images and videos, or how they manage their privacy and data.
