This week in Dexter Class

This week in Dexter class we are reviewing the digraphs that we have learned so far and using them to create captions and sentences. We will also be revising the high frequency words we have already learned and spotting them in our guided reading books.

In maths, we are learning about measure and will be using non standard measures to compare objects of different length and height.

The children have worked hard to learn and retell the story of Handa's surprise and this week we will be looking at similarities and differences between the village she lives in, in Kenya, and Amberley.

We will not be welly walking this week, but having had much discussion on predators and what different creatures eat last week, we will no doubt be furthering our knowledge in line with the children's interest in this area. We are looking forward to learning about other scientific areas too, with some chemistry based activities inspired by one of our focus children. It looks like it will be yet another exciting and action packed week in Dexter class!
