This week in Dexter Class

This week in phonics, Mrs Crampton and Mrs L Smith's group will be focusing on blending and segmenting, whilst Mrs A Smith and Mrs Lury's group will be learning the sounds ng, nk. We will all be looking at capital letters and working on our recall of high frequency words. In maths, we are continuing with our work on addition and being able to say what is one more or one less than a given number. We will also be working on our subitising skills (being able to recognise how many objects there are without having to count them individually, as one might do with a dice).

We are continuing to learn the songs for our nativity play and will be joining Hereford class for some rehearsals at the end of the week.

The nativity performances will take place in the church on Wednesday next week at 2pm and 6pm. Children will need to be back in school at 5.15pm before the evening performance in order for children to change and be ready. We will take them down to the church.
