This week in Hereford Class
Hereford Class have begun the week with an amazing trip to the church where they experienced harvest. Children had several workshops where they looked at the harvest of the garden, world, ocean, flock and grain. The children really enjoyed this experience and even made their own pottery, which they will bring home later in the week. We have continued innovating our story of Avocado baby this week and we have written some really descriptive stories, using our own characters and events. In maths we have finished our topic on comparing numbers and finding one more/one less so we have now moved onto number bonds within 20 and Y2 are using these facts to represent numbers to find facts to 100. We are really excited to share this with Mr Beech and Miss Cale who will be popping in to see our maths lesson. In Topic, we have looked at a Victorian classroom and compared this to our classroom, looking at the difference in classroom resources, punishment and they way that students and teachers behaved and dressed. We can't wait to experience this on our trip to Sevington Victorian school on Wednesday 17th October.
