This week in Hereford Class

Welcome back! We hope you had a fantastic half term and enjoyed the sun! Lots of children have been coming in with very excited holiday news, which is always so lovely to hear! This week we will be joining the rest of the school in our 'Health and Well-being week.'

We have already looked at our new value of courage, what it means and times that we show it. We have also reflected on things that we are worried and scared of and will be discussing ways and strategies to deal with this.

We looked at what healthy means, and no matter how healthy we are, we all get poorly. This moved us onto a discussion about medicine and we talked about how to stay safe around medicines.

We completed the first day of our daily mile today and I have to say, I was so impressed with the children's determination and perseverance! We will be doing this again on Thursday and Friday and are challenging ourselves to either run the mile quicker, or run even further.

We will be looking at kindness tomorrow as well as keeping our bodies healthy in lots of different ways and looking at the 5 ways to well-being in more detail.

We are very excited to be having a nurse visit on Friday where she will talk to us about being hygienic and dressing us in bandages. We have lots more going on - please do come in and see our spiritual scrapbook for even more information!
