This week in Hereford class

This week we have began our new English unit, on a story called Gorilla by Anthony Browne. We have completed a comprehension with regards to the events and feelings of the main character, Hannah. We have been ordering the events and boxing the story up into paragraphs. In maths we have continued our unit of measures where we have looked at capacity. We have compared units of measure and have been reading scales, with and without scales. We have been looking at our new topic of plants in Science, understanding the difference between deciduous and evergreen, comparing and classifying. Miss Parsons leaves us on Friday, to return to Avening Primary school. We wish her lots of luck as she continues her teaching practise and thank her for all her hard work in our class, supporting the children's learning.
