This Week in Friesian Class

Well, we have reached our final week before the Easter holidays. We're not quite sure how that has come around so quickly. This week, we will begin to write our own warning tales using 'Why the Whales Came' as a basis for ideas and structure. In maths, we are looking at adding and subtracting fractions. Some children are looking at how we convert top heavy fractions into mixed fractions before adding or subtracting them. On Tuesday, we will be taking part in house competitions in order to win the most points for our houses. The house with the most points will receive a special treat on Wednesday. In art, we will complete out fruit drawing unit by doing our final drawings. We have looked at the skills needed to do a 3D drawing of a piece of fruit and how we use shading and cross-hatching to give show texture and shadow. On Wednesday, Mr White has kindly volunteered to come and speak to us about his job. We have been looking at different camera and video angles in ICT and it will be really helpful to hear about it from a professional point of view. Thank you for all your support this term and we hope you have a wonderful Easter break.
