This week in Dexter Class

As we head towards the Easter holidays, we have a busy week ahead! On Tuesday we will be taking part in lots of different activities in order to try and gain points for our Houses. This will be tied into our work on time, as we see how many things we can do in a minute. We will be working on our fine motor skills as we try to use tweezers to pick up small beads and move them to another container, developing our ability to read high frequency words in a treasure hunt and working on our listening skills as we try to solve riddles.

Throughout the week, we will also be showing off how far we have come in our short reading and writing of HFW assessments. So far the children have been excited by their progress. We have already seen some amazing concentration and determination in child initiated story writing, which we look forward to showing you on Fantastic Thursday.
