This week in Hereford Class

This week in maths we have finished our topic on time. Y1 children have been looking at o'clock and half past while Y2 have been looking at 15 minute intervals, some children even looked at 5 minute intervals. Next we are moving onto money where we will be looking at the value or coins and notes as well as making amounts and converting between pounds and pence. If you have any spare change in your pockets, encourage your children to find out the total. In English we are continuing our recount writing where we have looked at the story 'Not Now Bernard' - thanks Mrs Hardbord for lending this. We are writing a recount either from the view point of Bernard or the monster, breaking the events into paragraphs. We have continued to look at photos in computing with Miss Parsons. We were lucky enough to take the tablets outside where we took photos out in the snow! In RE we are looking at how Christians show their belief and love to God. Miss Cale is coming in to see this lesson and we are excited to share our thoughts and discussions. This week we have visitors from different schools. They are coming to see how we work together in Y1 and Y2 and how we use our learning powers in all that we do! A very busy week ahead!
