This week in Belted Galloway Class

This week, Belted Galloway children will be taking part in their end of term writing assessments. This is an opportunity for the children to complete four different genres of writing, completely independently, to show what they can do, and more importantly, to flag up what we need to work on with them. The children enjoy these activities as they complete their writing in a special book that is only used for this purpose, which means that they can look back and see what they were capable of when they were younger. It is lovely for the children to see how much they have progressed already before they begin their latest assessment task.

In art this week, the children will be producing work in the style of Bridget Riley with paints. They have already studied this artist in computing, and completed a graphic design using the program 'Inkscape', so it will be really interesting to see how they adapt their work when using their painting skills.
